Moving To A New Domain In A Few Days

Some of you know I’ve been planning on moving this entire site to a new domain for a little while. Ok, longer than a little while. I’ve been working on a new site for a few months and I think this will be the week where the move finally happens. Let me emphasize the word think in the previous sentence. It’s possible something will come up (those pesky clients) to keep me from the last few details or I’ll discover something that needs to be done that I haven’t thought about. I’m pretty sure though, that sometime later this week everything you see here now will be sitting somewhere else.

I wanted to let you know a few days in advance so you don’t arrive here to something unexpected and also to let you know I may forgo the usual posts this week just to get the last few things done.

Once I’ve flipped the switch and made the move I’ll have plenty to say about why I’m moving, but for now simply know that in a few days when you visit there will be a different look and a different URL showing in your address bar. It’ll still be me. I’ll just look different.

I’ll keep you updated during the week and hopefully make the transition as smooth as possible for everyone. Wish me a little luck and hopefully by the end of the week or this coming weekend we’ll be talking on the same blog in a new place.

  1. The design of the site will be completely new. The blog will still be here and the ground rules will be the same for the most part. I did rewrite all the pages outside the blog and reorganized things.

For the most part it’s going to be the same site on a new domain, with a new design. But the new design does mean some additions and some things that are no more. The change came from a decision to make some changes awhile back so some things will be different.

I’ll explain more after moving. It’ll be easier to talk about some things when they’re here and you can see them and I’ll fill you in on why I’m making certain changes then too.
